i guess just any old belt dressing? like Permatex?
and can you dress too much?...riding in the rain last few days...squeak, squeak, squeak....the Permatex works but only for awhile....got 1/2" belt play (up and down) and sides seem to be dirty enough (no shine) inside the pulley so i guess there is no side rub anywhere.
but belt dressing is sticky, which is why it works...so i feels the belt this evening and it is kind of gritty...and sticky...so does the road grit that gets on the belt and pulley compromise the belt life?
